Prince George’s County represents some organizing challenges based on geography, transportation, and some very spread out metropolitan areas. However, we have had some members who have recently expressed an interest and — given what we’ve learned from online organizing this past year — it may not be at all hard to come up with a structure for Northern Prince George’s County NOW that meets residents’ needs.
What that structure looks like is up to the members of NOW in the northern part of the county. What the chapter decides to take on in the way of projects and focus is also completely up to the members of that chapter.
Maryland NOW’s role is one of support and any specific assistance members in the county might need. The special nature of shaping something for Northern Prince George’s County happens all over Maryland and all over the U.S.
Please let us know if you want to be involved in conversations about the re-formation of Northern Prince George’s County NOW and join us at our next virtual meeting!
