Friday February 7 - Coalition for Liberty & Justice Forum

Time: 9:00am-4:30pm
As 2014 begins, religious freedom is once again front and center in political debates. On February 7 in Washington, DC, the Coalition for Liberty & Justice will convene a day-long forum with experts in women’s rights, LGBT rights, religion and legal and constitutional scholarship. The participants will discuss real religious liberty and lay the groundwork for a path that protects justice and equality for all. As litigation, media storms and legislative battles rage on, the Coalition for Liberty & Justice Forum will reveal the truth about religious freedom, present the case for protecting it and expose the bogus arguments that would undermine it.
On February 7 in Washington, DC, join the fight for religious liberty, freedom and justice for all. Be inspired, educated and informed by panels featuring leading legal and political experts, religious and community leaders, grassroots organizers and advocates for religious freedom and against discrimination. Register today.
The Coalition for Liberty & Justice is a broad alliance of more than 50 faith-based, secular and other organizations that works to ensure that public policy protects the religious liberty of individuals of all faiths and no faith and to oppose public policies that impose one religious viewpoint on all. We support the separation of religion and state and believe that public policy should not impose or privilege any religious viewpoint. We support religious liberty and the ability to exercise one’s rights based on conscience and moral codes and beliefs. We support public policies that both respect religious liberty and protect against the use of religious beliefs or traditions to discriminate or undermine equality. We advance religious liberty and justice that respects individuals, supports the common good and reflects the foundational principles of our nation.
Co-conveners: Catholics for Choice and National Council of Jewish Women. RSVP today.
