Even though this chapter hasn’t been active for several years, it retains a core of loyal supporters. In the discussions surrounding a reorganization of Northern Prince George’s County NOW, some have suggested that perhaps the Takoma Park members could become a part of Northern Prince George’s County NOW.
The Takoma Park Chapter was founded in 1991 and supported local projects as well as working to promote strong participation in actions in downtown Washington DC. The community is known for its progressive activist spirit and boasts many groups working on everything from local to international causes.
