We are actively working to find a way for our sisters in Western Maryland to be able to fully participate as a chapter of Maryland NOW! Having actively implemented virtual meetings and programs, Maryland NOW is ready to help chapters, especially those whose in all corners of Maryland to enjoy the benefits of being a part of a NOW chapter.
The recent addition of an abortion care clinic in Cumberland and the support it has received (Rep. David Trone personally covered much of the cost of relocating this clinic from Charleston, WV when abortion became illegal in that state), in addition to offering gender affirming care, has given this area new hope of support from the rest of our state.
A recent mailing we sent to all members of Maryland NOW identified several women who are interested in helping to set up an “area” chapter across Garrett, Alleghany, and Washington Counties.
