2020 National NOW Conference – September 26

NOW and the Feminist Majority Foundation - Conference Business, District Caucus Meetings and Voting for National Board Members

Saturday September 26, 2020 12:30 pm

Fired Up! Ready to Vote!

The 2020 virtual conference will take place on:

September 26, 2020 – NOW Conference Business, Election Report, District Caucuses Meetings and Board candidate forums.

October 17, 2020 – Engaging Plenary Session and Workshops

November 7, 2020 – Engaging Plenary Session and Workshops

Registration is free for all attendees.

On September 26, 2020, we’ll open Day One of the conference at 12:30 p.m. EDT with a plenary session where the 2020 NOW Election Report will be presented along with other conference business. Following the Election Report, NOW members will take a vote on the proposed procedure for the 2020 National Board elections. The rest of Day One will include plenary sessions to consider proposed bylaws amendments, district caucus meetings with Board candidate forums, and special constituency caucuses.

Because the virtual conference platform presents challenges to NOW’s traditional parliamentary process of motion making, we plan on sending you the proposed agenda, conference rules, election report, and bylaws amendments by early September. Should you wish to propose edits to those items, you will need to submit them to conference@now.org by September 12, 2020. All proposed changes will be reviewed by the Structure and Process Committee and the Executive Committee to be incorporated or rejected. The final proposed conference agenda, rules, election report, and bylaws amendments will be voted on at the conference on September 26th.

Day Two (October 17) and Day Three (November 7) of the conference will consist of engaging plenary sessions and workshops, co-hosted by the Feminist Majority. Programming is expected to take place between 12:30 p.m. EDT and 4:30 p.m. EDT on Days Two and Three.

Register for the 2020 virtual conference, today!

NOW is also offering Racial Equity Education Webinars, for members, which will take place outside of the conference programming. Please visit https://now.org/leaderdoc/racial-equity-education-webinars/ for more information and to register for those webinars directly.
