Maryland NOW was founded in 1973 although chapters existed in the state in the late 1960s. Our rich history includes legislative and electoral work. We help support a Political Action Committee and work to raise money for women candidates running for officer in our state, as well as ballot and GOTV work done in other states when cruicial issues are at stake.
We have had, over the course of our history, chapters all over our state, and are always looking for activists to support their work to start or revive a chapter where they live. We welcome new members and invite you to join us in working to support and better the lives of women and girls in our state.
