February 6: The Yellow Roses: First Fridays for the First Amendment (Olney, MD). The Yellow Roses are organizing First Fridays for the First Amendment rallies on the first Friday of every month. The Yellow Roses offers non-partisan, family-friendly ways to get kids and adults involved in standing up for their rights. They will have sign making, bubbles, balloons, parachutes, and chalk available for people to use. They will also be collecting signatures to urge Congress to recognize the Equal Rights Amendment as part of the US Constitution – learn more about the ERA at this event! March 6: In Annapolis: Join ERA NOW, Maryland NOW and our partner organizations as we welcome the Golden Flyer II to Maryland and raise awareness that the ERA is valid and enforceable as the 28th Amendment to the Constitution and urge Congress to affirm this is true. A full day of activities are planned – more information coming soon. (See the Ms Magazine article for more information on the 1916 Golden Flyer and the two suffragists who drove across the country to raise support for a women’s right to vote.)
